As you know meat doesn't like stifling heat. But this common truth is not valid if the issue is musical "meat" under our "SOLNYSHKO"!
This year RED ALERT OPEN AIR FESTIVAL - this, without bias, has become one of the most remarkable live metal-actions in the former USSR area - will be held for the eighth time. The place of this musical terror has been invariable for several years already - it is "Solnyshko" entertainment complex (9th km of the Sympherepol-Eupatoria infernal autobahn), which is separated by only 30m of the beach-line from the Black Sea mere.
And if all previous years festivals were held under the label METAL HEADS' MISSION, this year it was changed for RED ALERT OPEN AIR. Year 2007 has also become the field for one more innovation - from now on all buzz'n'growl staff will sound on the shore of the Black Sea for a week entire (!) Although all previous festivals were positioned as those attracting fans of the most extreme metal music branches - brutal death, death-grind, grindcore and black - contemporary one's style limits have been broadened widely.
August 2nd, 3rd and 4th's scene will house bands, representing all examples of modern and trendy moshpit urban-youth guitar music. Such band titles as PSYKHEJA, JANE AIR, PERIMETER, FOURTH DIMENSION (all are Russian), SKINHATE, SUBMIND, UNERASE (all are Ukrainian), RASTA (Belorussia) affect the fans of the rough alternative mosh like valerian drops do affect mature cats in spring! Besides these bands, three tens more from several CIS countries will participate. The headline position of the alternative music festival days is occupied by the outstanding metalcore German band CALIBAN. That will be petrifying. Petrifyingly interesting!
On August 4th and 5th "Solnyshko" will be bossed by the tattoo, piercing and body-art masters. Right at the territory of the festival the fans will have an opportunity to make splendid tattoos. These actions will be accompanied by the performance of rock-bands, the A-list star of which is the famous SKRIABIN. The bands leader Kuzma Skriabin promised to prepare the most extreme band's set ever seen from them for the oncoming musical brainstorm.
And finally - August 6th, 7th and 8th on Solnyshko are devoted to the bands of the Metal Heads' Mission stage. The most hard-edged European bands! MHM-stage headliners are fabulous death metal colossi from USA DEICIDE, SUFFOCATION and IMMOLATION (USA), VADER (Poland) and ageless old stagers of English death metal BENEDICTION. Alongside with these mega heroes the sound extreme will be supported by such steel world-famous bands as CENOTAPH (Turkey), SICKBAG (France), TYPHOID (Slovakia), GUTTED (Hungary), PYORRHOEA (Poland), EVERLOST (Russia) and dozens of others. Don't miss the opportunity to see all this in your own eyes and hear with your tender ears what the extreme metal in all its brutal beauty is.
